About Yore & Lore

I am an artist who also has a background in archaeology and anthropology. History is my greatest passion and along with that comes a fascination with the folklore, myths and traditions that have been passed down and adapted through each generation.

I live in Sussex, in England, UK. A place with plenty of history and archaeology. It is also a place with beautiful natural landscapes, with the South Downs running through and the sea on the southern edge. Nature is a common experience we share with our ancestors. Sadly, we are losing our connection with nature and the understanding of its significance that was central to our ancestors. Along with celebrating the art, traditions and folklore of the past in my creations (and recreations!), I am also inspired by the awe and beauty of nature.
